The International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) has welcomed UK Coaching as its latest member.
The new connection between the two organisations means that UK Coaching joins an international family of coaching leaders across the world, working together to support the development of sports coaching.
UK Coaching’s Director of Coaching Emma Atkins said:
“We are thrilled to join the ICCE family to ensure that we assist UK coaches and coach developers to work across the international community.
We are also keen to share our learning with others so that our principles of great coaching reach people across the globe, and they too, can recognise the life changing benefits of coaching for the participant and the coach.
It’s important that people know that great coaching is all about people and that a great coach connects and understands the person in front of them in order to help them to thrive, whatever their motivation. It is this connected philosophy which also underpins our recently launched approach to coach learning, which has been adopted by UK partners, offering greater opportunities for the continuing professional development of our coaches in order to meet the needs of their participants.”
ICCE Secretary General Dr Ladislav Petrovic said:
“We are very excited to welcome UK Coaching into the ICCE family. UK Coaching has been a beacon of light for coach development and the recognition of coaching from the beginning. We are looking forward to our cooperation and to developing many new and interesting projects together to support coaching in the UK and internationally.”
