Japan Sport Council (JSC) will host the 5th ASIA Congress from the 22nd to 26th of February 2021 with the theme “New-norm in high performance sport with COVID-19 and the future of sport in Asia”.
This event is an annual congress held by the Association of Sports Institute in Asia (ASIA) to engage the community of all Asian countries, creating opportunities to develop sport performance and a better society with respect and openness. The ASIA was established in 2015 through leadership of Japan Sport Council, currently consisting of 16 members from 13 Asian countries and regions.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the 5th ASIA Congress will be delivered virtually for the first time and an invitation is extended to colleagues around the world. There will be more than 40 presenters from 16 institutions of 12 countries and regions to share their latest actions, challenges and insights in various themes of high performance sport as well as coaching, safe sport, women in sport and COVID-19 measures.
In addition, along with the 5th ASIA Congress, the JSC will also organize virtual exhibition of the Japanese sport contents called “Japan Market.” Through the exhibition, detailed information can be found on what the Japanese local government, sporting organizations and private sectors are able to offer to our international stakeholders and partners.
Information on and application for both the 5th ASIA Congress and the Japan Market can be found here.
