The Erasmus+ Sport Project has developed a culturally sensitive, free Safe Sport e-learning toolbox for coaches working in the Northern Mediterranean region.
ICCE’s Vice President and ICOACHKIDS Co-Founder Sergio Lara-Bercial travelled to the ancient city of Córdoba (Spain) to attend the third transnational partner meeting of Project CICEE-T (Culturally Informed Coach Education E-Toolbox). Representatives from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Malta were present to discuss the projects latest updates and to test the beta version of the free e-Toolbox. In addition, a multiplier event took place to showcase the project to current and future coaches and coach developers.
Sergio said: “The commitment and dedication shown by all project partners to Safe Sport and to the development of a relevant e-toolkit to support Northern Mediterranean coaches was outstanding. It was also very rewarding to be able to share the draft e-toolbox with local coaches and to see how determined they also are to make sport safer for children and adults alike.”
The project enters its final year which will culminate with the launch of the e-toolkit and a closing conference in Antwerp (Belgium) hosted by Thomas More University, one of the project’s research partners.
