On May 25th 2023 PAISAC (“Programme d’appui International au sport africain et des caraïbes” / International Support Program for African and Caribbean Sport) celebrated its 20th anniversary in Montreal. The core program features online training and a four-week residential program in Montreal including courses, mentoring and job experience. 386 coaches from 49 countries have been trained through PAISAC over 20 years.
Present at the celebration were Pierre Amboise Preira, founder of PAISAC; Lorraine Lafrenière, CEO of the Coaching Association of Canada and ICCE Board member; Cynthia Amami, Project Manager – Entourage Unit – Olympic Solidarity; and John Bales, ICCE President and honorary co-president of PAISAC.
