Through ICCE membership, CNFPA is connected to an international community focused on coach education and development. This provides opportunities to engage with wider international approaches and initiatives supporting the development of coaches and coaching systems.

Featured Initiative

CNFPA is currently coordinating the Erasmus+ Special Vocational Sport Project, Education and Training (2024-RO 01-KA220-VET-000256242), running from December 2024 to November 2026.

The project brings together the National Center for Coach Training in Romania, the National Sports Agency of Romania, TAFISA from Germany and the Paralympic Committee of Portugal.

The project aims to develop a guide and curriculum that will form the basis for coach training focused on developing the skills needed to support the sports training of people with special needs. Through this work, the project aims to strengthen coaches’ ability to provide appropriate and inclusive sporting opportunities for people with different needs.

The initiative highlights the importance of international collaboration in developing coach education and supporting more inclusive approaches to sport.
