ICCE signs pledge to promote healthy lifestyles at the EU Sport Forum, Paris

ICCE were one of 14 organisations who signed a pledge during the EU Sport Forum in Paris to promote healthy lifestyles as part of the HealthyLifestyle4All initiative.  President John Bales signed on behalf of the ICCE and ICOACHKIDS pledging healthy habits for children and young people.

The EU Sport Forum 2022 marked a milestone on the HealthyLifestyle4All initiative, Commissioner Gabriel’s campaign to mobilise civil society and public authorities to jointly promote the awareness for a healthy lifestyle, reduce obstacles to getting active and foster cooperation across sectors.

On 16 June, EU Commissioner signed 14 new pledges on promoting a healthy lifestyle with many organisations including:

  1. Lille metropolitan: “Handball playing fields for all”
  2. Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth: “National Sport for All programme”
  3. Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland: “On the Move programme”
  4. Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation: “Access to physical activity opportunities at the workplace”
  5. Council of Europe: “Healthy lifestyles and anti-doping policies: raising awareness on the health risks of doping in sport for all”
  6. Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games: “Move more!”
  7. The Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA): “For a better world through Sport for All”
  8. International Council for Coaching Excellence: “ICOACHKIDS – Healthy Habits for children and young people”
  9. International University Sports Federation (FISU): “From Healthy Campus to Healthy Lifestyle!”
  10. European Athletics: “Healthy Lifestyle and Athletics for All”
  11. European Gay and Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF): “Access to sport and physical activity for all LGBTIQ+ people across Europe”
  12. European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE): “Sharing Good Practice Towards a #HealthyLifestyle4All”
  13. European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI): “Sport Meets Space”
  14. European Commission: “Supporting an active lifestyle by developing the European Air Quality Index mobile app”
