
Lorraine Lafrenière Meets IOC Olympic Solidarity and IOC Representatives to Strengthen Global Coaching Initiatives
On 19 March in Lausanne, Lorraine Lafrenière, President of the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE), met with Yassine Yousfi, Head of Entourage Unit, Olympic Solidarity – Athletes and Sport Development Division, at Olympic House to discuss their ongoing partnership in advancing coach development worldwide.
During her visit, Lorraine also met with Cynthia Amami, Senior Programme Manager, Olympic Solidarity – Athletes and Sport Development Division, and Jean-Benoit Charrin, Human Rights Manager, International Olympic Committee (IOC), to explore potential collaborative projects with the IOC Human Rights Department.
The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration to expand access to high-quality coaching, enhance the role of coaches in athlete development, and identify opportunities to integrate human rights considerations into sport programs. All parties reaffirmed their commitment to supporting coach education and fostering positive environments for athletes globally.
