CoachLearn makes an impact at the European Network for Sport Education Forum 2015: this path did lead to Rome

CoachLearn Project Coordinator, Sergio Lara-Bercial (Leeds Beckett University) and working group members Dr Ladislav Petrovic (International Council for Coaching Excellence) and Dr Kirsi Hämäläinen (Haaga Helia University) were invited to present at a sport coaching symposium organised by the European Coaching Council during the European Network for Sport Education (formerly ENSSEE) Forum 2015 in the beautiful city of Rome.

The Forum was hosted by the Universitá Foro Italico di Rome and the Italian Olympic Committee and brought together representatives from all areas of sport education such as higher education institutions and vocational training providers from the worlds of sports science, coaching and health and fitness.

CoachLearn delivered a progress-update report to a captive audience of scholars, developers and employers. The project was very well received and the CoachLearn team was able to engage in very meaningful discussion with the ‘end-user’ of the CoachLearn deliverables.

Dr Kirsi Hämäläinen said: ‘It was terrific to be able to interact with all these stakeholders, pick their brain and take it back into our work. We feel we are on the right track and that CoachLearn will deliver value for money and make a very strong contribution to the field of sport coaching in the European Union and beyond.’
