ICCE member CoachSG from Singapore is organizing their annual conference on 26 – 28 October. This is an international conference with a global audience and they hope to have leading local and overseas subject matter experts on board. As such, they have launched a Call For Proposal and we would like to invite practitioners (eg. Coaches, Coach Developers) and researchers to submit proposals on good coaching practice.
This year’s edition of the hybrid conference (subjected to government guidelines) will focus on the overarching theme of ‘Sport Reimagined: Thriving Amidst Challenges’ which is further unpacked into three themes surrounding “Sport Science and Technology, Coaching Pedagogy and Leadership”. These themes covey Singapore’s aspiration for the coach to deliver Singapore’s Vision 2030 narrative amidst the increasing demands presented by the uncertain pandemic situation. The coach is perceived as a multiplier to amplify impact in the sport-ecosystem, an incisive leader and a professional that moulds the current generation to become better people in and through sport. The conference is curated to encourage a participatory nature and also adopts a congressional mode where representational basis of individuals belonging to professional sporting bodies will come together to examine pertinent issues. This international event aspires to be a catalyst to guide our coaching community towards world-class standards in coaching and sport.
