The European Week of Sport team has announced that the #BeActive campaign has been nominated for the European Ombudsman’s Good Administration Awards in the category of the most popular project.
The awards recognise projects that demonstrate strong public administration and a commitment to improving the lives of European citizens. The nomination highlights the collective efforts of the European sport community over the past eleven years in promoting physical activity, healthier lifestyles, and greater participation in sport across Europe.
Since its launch, the #BeActive campaign has grown into a continent-wide movement, engaging millions of people and encouraging individuals of all ages and backgrounds to become more active through sport and physical activity initiatives.
The European Week of Sport team is encouraging members of the sport community and the public to support the campaign by voting online before 15 June and sharing the initiative within their networks.
