The Vlaamse Trainersschool (VTS; Flemish School for Coach Development) is responsible for supporting coach development across the Flemish community of Belgium. Through cooperation between Sport Vlaanderen, sport federations, universities and schools of higher education, VTS helps provide coach education across a wide range of sports and levels.
About Vlaamse Trainersschool
VTS is a cooperative association bringing together the public government through Sport Vlaanderen, sport federations and higher education institutions to support the education and development of coaches in Flanders.
Each year, more than 10,000 coaches complete VTS coach education programmes across approximately 50 different sports.
Through this collaborative structure, VTS works to strengthen coaching knowledge and practice while providing coaches with opportunities to continue developing throughout their coaching journey.

Featured Initiative
VTS is currently highlighting two new resources designed to support coaches, coach developers and sport organisations.
The first is a digital guide for sport organisations focused on attracting and retaining coaches. The resource provides practical tips and ideas to help organisations strengthen their coaching workforce and create environments that encourage coaches to remain involved in sport.
VTS has also recently launched VTS Team Talk, a new Dutch-language podcast for coach developers. Available on Spotify, the podcast will release a new episode each week and provide an ongoing space for learning, ideas and discussion around coach development.
