Norafzan Mahadi
WN Afzan W. Mahadi is a Malaysian sports leader with more than two decades of experience in coach education, talent identification, sports science, and high-performance sport. She currently serves as Head of the Research Management & High-Performance Laboratory at the National Sports Institute of Malaysia (ISN) and previously held senior leadership roles, including Director of the National Coaching Academy (AKK). As an Executive Board Member of the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) and a certified NSSU/ICCE Coach Developer, she contributes to the advancement of coaching standards and coach development internationally. A former Malaysian national netball player, she represented the country at the Commonwealth Games and World Championships. She also advises universities on sport, coaching, curriculum development, and research collaboration. She is a strong advocate for the Women Can Coach initiative, promoting women’s leadership in coaching, lifelong learning, and evidence-based practice. Her work is driven by a commitment to developing world-class coaches, strengthening inclusive coaching systems, and advancing community and high-performance sport.
