Lorraine Lafrenière, President of the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE), recently met with the South African Rugby Union (SARU) in Cape Town to discuss coach and trainer development initiatives. The visit highlighted SARU’s successful implementation of the ICCE Coach Developer Framework and its commitment to developing a highly skilled coach development workforce.

During the visit, Hilton Adonis, Senior Manager: Training and Education at SARU, shared his Trainer Framework with Lafreniere, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration on trainer education and workforce development. The discussions reinforced the strong partnership between ICCE and SARU and their shared commitment to excellence in coaching and coach developer education.
