Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa, in partnership with Tourism New Zealand, Business Events Wellington and the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE), is proud to announce that Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington will host the 16th ICCE Global Coach Conference in 2027. 

This globally significant event will bring together coach developers, researchers and sport leaders from around the world to explore inclusive, values-based coaching and share ideas shaping the future of sport development. It’s the first time the conference will be held in Oceania since 1999.

We would like to thank all who submitted bids which were evaluated by the GCC 2027 Selection Committee. The Committee followed a rigorous review process, and made their recommendations to the ICCE Board who approved the decision.

Planning is underway and we look forward to sharing more as the event detail unfolds.
