Penny Crisfield and Hayley Harrison led the programme’s two learning streams
The ICCE, supported financially by the Hungarian Olympic Committee, ran a highly successful programme for the IIHF (world ice hockey) for 5 days in Budapest in mid March. This comprised a Facilitation Workshop for 15 potential coach developers led by Penny Crisfield (UK) and, in parallel, a trainer course for 5 potential trainers of coach developers led by Hayley Harrison (Ireland). This format works extremely well, although it results in a highly interactive but intensive programme. Delegates came from Hungary, Finland, USA, Turkey, Poland, Sweden Austria, Spain, Slovakia, Serbia, Switzerland, Italy and Czechoslovakia. The education of coaches in ice hockey is in good hands.
