Yesterday marked the final coordination meeting for the MotivAction project, bringing together seven national platforms – Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Greece, Moldova, Portugal, and Poland.
ICCE collaborated in the project alongside the European Athletes and Players Association and the International Federation for Sports Officials. ICCE was represented at the final meeting by Lorraine Lafreniere, ICCE Board Member and Ethics Committee Chair.
A multidisciplinary team of researchers took part in the meeting which was held in the stunning Palais du Luxembourg in Paris. The meeting addressed the final stages of the project, administrative and financial aspects and key deliverables. It was a truly inspiring moment of collaboration and exchange moving towards the successful conclusion of this exciting project.
MotivAction is a transnational project financed by Erasmus + Sport funding from the European Union between 7 countries (Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Greece, Moldova, Poland, Portugal) aiming to implement whistleblowing policies at national level, to promote, protect and handle alerts against the manipulation of sports competitions.
The project gathers 7 national platforms, representative organisations such as coaches players and referees during three years (2022-2025). The project coordinator is the French National Gambling Authority (ANJ).
