Another outstanding class of the NSSU Coach Developer Academy completed their program in Tokyo in February, with ten participants completing all the requirements as an ICCE Trained Coach Developer.

Participants completed two one week intensive courses at NSSU’s Tokyo campus, as well as a series of e-learning modules and homework assignments. All are active Coach Developers and are contributing to the expansion of the Coach Developer workforce within their organizations.
The program is part of the Japanese government’s “Sport for Tomorrow” initiative to spread the global benefits of sport in the lead-up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Under the direction of NCDA Director and President of NSSU Dr. Ryosho Tanigama, NCDA Secretary General and NSSU Professor Dr. Masa Ito, and NCDA Manager Jun Sekiguchi, the Academy is a partnership with the International Council for Coaching Excellence and offers the ICCE Coach Developer qualification with an augmented program of research, special topics and Japanese cultural experiences.
