A delegation from the Norwegian Olympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF), Norway’s Football Premier League (Elite Serien), Norway FA, University of Southern-East Denmark and Norwegian University of Science and Technology visited the ICCE Global Office at Leeds Beckett University last Friday.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the role of Coach Developers in coach education and development and explore potential options to create a joint-up Coach Developer Pathway and Curriculum for all sports in Norway.

ICCE was represented by President John Bales, VP Prof Sergio Lara-Bercial and co-author of the International Coach Developer Framework Penny Crisfield. Dr Liam McCarthy, a Reader in Coach Development at LBU and a global leader in this area also attended the meeting.

President Bales said:
“We had a great day of conversations and discussions clarifying the role of the Coach Developer and the specific needs of the Norwegian landscape. We look forward to supporting our Norwegian colleagues in this endeavour”.
