The conference discussed the main issues in European sport coaching. This was also the final event of the CoachNet project supported by the European Commission Sport Unit. Project partners presented the project’s findings, and the European Coaching Council (ECC) introduced the proposed new structure for coordinating sport coaching in Europe. The CoachNet Voice of the Coach project was an initiative of the European Coaching Council. It aimed to develop further a structure for coordinating sport coaching at the European level. This network will strengthen cohesion within Sport Coaching with an enhanced emphasis on the ‘voice of the coach’. The EU Sport Forum 2012 was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 19-20 September 2012, where the European Coaching Council was represented by its Secretary, Ladislav Petrovic. The agenda reviewed the work carried out in the sector over the last 12 months, future challenges and priorities, and encouraged debate on key issues affecting the industry.
