ENGSO, The European Sports NGO hosted its annual European Sport Platform at the Netherlands Olympic Training Centre in Papendal in conjunction with NOC*NSF on the 14th and 15th of October 2022. The event brought together ENGSO members, sport organisations and professionals with a mission to strengthen the grassroots sport movement in Europe.
The main theme for this year’s event was The Inclusion Paradox. The three-day event raised the question “Where does Europe stand for inclusive sports?” and led the participants and the European grassroots sport movement to explore revolutionary ideas and solutions on issues of inclusion, equality and human rights.
ICOACHKIDS co-founders Professor Nicolette Schipper van Veldhoven and Professor Sergio Lara-Bercial delivered a workshop based on The ICOACHKIDS Pledge – The 10 Golden Principles for Positive Experiences in Youth Sport. Participants had a chance to explore what these golden principles mean in their own context and to share with each other examples of best practice.
