
The Erasmus+ co-funded project led by Leeds Beckett University and the ICCE developing FREE educational resources for youth coaches was presented in the Danish coastal city of Aarhus, European Capital of Culture 2017, during the activities of the European Sport Summit 2017.
The Summit was jointly organised by ENSE (European Network of Sport Education), the ICCE, and the European Athlete as Student Network and brought together stakeholders from over 20 EU countries to discuss issues of talent development and dual careers.
iCoachKids was represented by Project Lead Sergio Lara-Bercial from Leeds Beckett University, as well as Ladislav Petrovic from Hungarian Coaches Association and Jan Minkhorst from the NOC*NSF (Netherlands).
Sergio Lara-Bercial said: “The Summit was a tremendous opportunity to present iCoachKids to a captive audience of like-minded people and organisations. We have already started to discuss potential cooperation agreements with several institutions to spread the message of iCK”
iCoachKids is led by Leeds Beckett University (LBU) and the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) and brings together another six world-class organisations with a common desire to support youth coaches and a proven track record of doing so. These include Sport Ireland Coaching, the Hungarian Coaches Association, the Netherlands Olympic Committee, and European University of Madrid, Lithuanian Sport University, and the Royal Belgian Football Association.
