ICCE participates in the 15th ENSE Sport Forum in Vienna

The 15th ENSE Forum was held at the University of Vienna’s Institute for Sport Science on the 26th and 27th of September 2019 under the theme Sport – Education – Society. Links and Solutions.

The Forum offered a space for reflection and discussion about the potential of sport to address the societal and educational challenges facing Europe and ways to maximise this potential. Through interactive sessions, working groups and presentations, the Forum generated knowledge and recommendations that help both researchers and practitioners alike.

The ICCE led a session on Sport and Coaching Education chaired by Ladislav Petrovic (General Secretary) and Harald Tschan.  John Bales (President) gave an update on ICCE projects for coach developers, while Sergio Lara-Bercial (Manager for Strategy and Development) presented International Coaching Degree Standards.  ICCE Board Members Kirsi Hämäläinen (Finland), Jan Minkhorst (Netherlands) and Antero Wallinus-Rinne (Norway) took part in a panel focusing on Cooperation in Coach Development between NOCs and Education Sector.

Kirsi Hämäläinen participated in a roundtable discussion on Educational Settings and Transfers into “Real Life”; while John Bales was involved in a roundtable panel on Sport, Education and Society – What are the Links?
