On 28th March 2023 the first ever Sport Coaches Award event was held in Greece, and was a huge success.

The idea and responsibility of the event belongs to the Panhellenic Federation of Sports Coaches, an ICCE member. The event took place in the hall of the “Mikis Theodorakis” Municipal Theater at the Ilioupoli Town Hall.

During the first part of the event, coaches chosen by the Coaches Associations that are members of POPA were awarded.

In the second part, eminent Coaches with top international successes from various sports were awarded, and in the third part, ERA SPORT was awarded for its long-term contribution to Greek Sports and, posthumously, the founder of ERA SPORT, Kostas Motsis.

The event was coordinated by the journalist of ERT and ERA SPORT, Vicky Spyrou.

The President of POPA, Mr. Athanasios D. Villiotis, referred to the activity and successes of POPA, from its establishment in 2009 until today. A message from the Deputy Minister of Sports Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis was read and a video message from John Bales (ICCE President) was shared.
